Help Protect Habitat for Endangered Species

The number one cause of the extinction of species (plants and animals) happening right now is habitat loss. Land is being converted at a vast rate to account for humanity’s intense growth and expansion. Agriculture, cattle ranching, palm oil plantations, and the mining industries are causing the deforestation of our rainforests, while our desert waters are being diverted and ultimately evaporating.

In 2021, a study published by Frontiers in Forests and Global Change found that human involvement has changed 97% of the Earth's land. Only 11% of those ecosystems are protected wildlife areas. They also found that despite 28% of those land habitats being virtually intact, a tragic 2.9% still have all the species that were there 500 years ago.

Greater Good Charities is committed to the long-term protection and preservation of land all around the world, with special concentration in the areas where its species are most threatened, as well as providing a balance between humanity and the planet so that both can cohabit naturally and harmoniously. You can help protect the land and the species inhabiting it by donating today.

“Protecting nature and saving species is all about securing the land and water plants and animals need to survive”. Jonathan Baillie, Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist of the National Geographic Society stated

Greater Good Charities has ultimate authority and discretion with regard to the distribution of its funds. All expenditures made are consistent with the exempt purposes of Greater Good Charities.
