Sweet three-month-old Cooper was adopted quickly from his animal rescue, but what should have been his happily ever after was just the beginning of his story. The morning after he was adopted, his new owners found that he was struggling to breathe. Confused and scared, Cooper was surrendered back to the shelter, his chance at a family stripped away from him.
At the vet, little Cooper was diagnosed with severe, infectious pneumonia. He was kept there for four days on oxygen and had repeated scans of his lungs. To help fight the pneumonia, Cooper has been put on general antibiotics. A recovery seems likely, as long as he has continued access to the treatment he needs.
