Edgardo was found at a gas station and brought to a shelter. This poor boy was dangerously malnourished and covered in mange, so shelter staff rushed him to a clinic for urgent care.
Edgardo was suffering from an eye infection, Ehrlichia, heartworm, ringworm and mange. He was quickly put on antibiotics for the Ehrlichia, medical baths for the mange and ringworm, eye drops for his infection, and is scheduled for the series of shots required to beat heartworm disease.
Eduardo's prognosis is good and he's been very responsive to treatment; the expected recovery time is around six months. Once he's regained his health, this sweet dog will be ready to find a forever family!
